AVOID THESE PERSONS AT ALL COSTS!
John Linares and Jose Flores
The Public Adjuster was hired on 8/5/2017 to repair and file a claim on our behalf. In first weeks of October the check was cashed.
I kept asking Jose Flores (Advanced Exteriors Group) contact, when will the work start. He’d give vague start dates of “a couple of weeks”. Later he would state the amount of the cashed check was not enough to even buy the materials needed, let alone finish the work.
During this time whenever we had heavy rain I started to see our ceiling had leaks, I mentioned this to Jose and the urgency of the work. Nothing was done. We finally spoke to him in late November and we agreed to start the work in early 2018 due to the cold weather.
In April 2018 I started calling Jose and John to ask them when they’d start and finish the work. I started getting excuses regarding the original check amount and how it would not cover their expenses. I stated yet again that was not our issue they would have to deal with the insurance on this. My insurance suggested for me to start litigation against these two companies/individuals.
Meanwhile when we got more rain the roof started leaking again and I excessively started calling John in late May until today (7/10/2018) without any solution to this. The week of 7/2/2018 I called, and his admin assistant told me that he was out of the country and he would get back to me which neither did.
We could not wait any longer so we had to hire an out of pocket roof contractor to repair the now leaking roof this past weekend 7/7/2018 (attached images) need to provide finished roof images and roof contractor estimate for the repair.
I digged a little deeper and they have some pretty bad ratings for BBB and the IL PA license for John strangely enough either, does not exist or is expired. I suggest calling the IL attorney general since this might be considered "fraud" that phone number is 312-814-3000. Call the IL dept of insurance as well and place a complaint. I did.
My advice to you? get a lawyer and sue these two for all their worth. I am wondering if this can turn into a class action lawsuit against them

I do not recommend this company. I have no idea how they have a BBB accreditation with the better business bureau. We went with the public adjuster Jhon Linares and Advanced Exteriors Group for our roofing and siding damage repair because we know someone that works there. This has NOT had any influence on their building trust, honoring promises, being responsive or embodying integrity.

First off it took 4 months where they had given multiple project start dates that weren’t honored and took me stating that we may need to sell the house early spring before they actually started. We have a dutch colonial home and they did not install the roofing properly above windows causing a leaking issue and damage to the home. We are now going on 6 months of continued water damage that is creating mold issues and we are starting to get water bugs in the bedrooms. The owner Jose had come out in February to look at the damage and said they were going to rip everything off the windows and redo them and also fix the drywall, replace insulation and remove mold. He and came back and instead used a TON of caulk above the windows and left. That did nothing and water continues to cause damages. A couple months later the guy we know that works there came out with an EXPERIENCED roofer and said they did not install anything around the windows properly and that the caulk has no effect. There was more continued dates of when work would start all being no shows. We went to Jhon for help and he said Advanced Exteriors Group will come out if we give him the balance of the money first. The insurance company and our good sense says don’t give any more money until we are fully satisfied and everything is complete.

I continue to contact them daily through email or text because their communication skills are poor and they talk in circles, sighting examples of issues and scenarios that have nothing to do with what is occurring with us and avoid any talk of fixing this issue.
