I hired Andres De La Riva on 2/5/2014 to handle the bookkeeping for my business, and prepare the taxes for my business and personal. The agreement was that he would finish in maximum 3 weeks. He would charge $600. He asked for $300 upfront, but I said I would feel more comfortable giving him $200 upfront. We agreed so I payed him $200 to start. After 6 weeks, I gave him a call and for a whole week he wouldn't answer. On week 7 he finally called back, and said he was out of town but done with everything. He said he would call me the following week so that we could meet. He never called. I called him on week 9 and we set up an appointment. He didnt show up. He called the following week saying he was out of town again, and very apologetic. I asked him to please send me through email whatever he had. He said he would, but again, never send anything. After that point, I've been calling him frequently and he never answered. I was forced to file an extension on my tax return, and start from scratch with somebody else.
