The plumber shows up to do an install. It was already removed before he arrived. Gave a quote of $1250. I told him I did not want to pay for removal since that's already been done. He said that's the company's price regardless. I said there's no way that's legal to pay for something you never did. He told me I could call the office. I did and they said they will call him. He came back and told me the same thing $1250. Again I disagree with paying for removal. Again he says there's nothing he can do but talk to the company. This time getting a supervisor. He also says he's going to call the plumber. Again the plumber comes back and says the company says there's nothing they can do. The whole thing is fishy from top to bottom and I told the plumber this. Then call back the supervisor and told him also. Here's the summary

If the price was standard why did the supervisor have to talk to the plumber and not just tell me the customer? When I call the supervisor back the last time, he says the price is $1300 and change for install and removal. I wasn't being charged for removal. (Even though the plumber said I was at $1250) I asked him, if that was true why didn't your plumber say this at the beginning? (Remember I made two separate calls on that one point alone. Over that one price alone.) Instead of saying that it was $1250 just for the installation. He made it quite clear that that amount was for installation and removal and that he would charge it no matter what. The $1300 quote was never mentioned until I called the supervisor back after asking the plumber to leave and then calling him back to tell him what I thought of their professionalism. It's quite clear to me that either the plumber was lying all along. Or the supervisor was when talking to me. Of course I got the obligatory well he says he told you statement. Which would make no sense that I would make two calls three if you count the final and only heard $1300 once when I complain about your professionalism.

NEVER call Gray unless you want to get ripped off. Office quoted $79 to service tiny evap cooler. Tech took 1.5 hours to play on roof, pick his butt. I was in yard entire time and watched joker. I kept asking if he was done. Said yes. Probably illegal from Mexico. I saw my pads were good. He said it's in package to replace. Charged me $136.94 for pretending to work. GAP A/C did same job for $75 in 10 minutes last year. Gray OVERCHARGES women, senior citizens and Military. I give them "F" for Fraud. BBB needs to downgrade. Worst business in El Paso. If you have money to throw away on incompetence, unprofessionalism then call Gray. You have been warned.

I would like to thank Gray H. & A.C. and their employee Bengie WO# 53030. This letter of recognition

is for the outstanding work he did at Robert Holt Dr. on 7 July 2014. His professionalism

became apparent when I explained that my A/C would continuously run for 16 to 20 hours a day. He

knew right away what to do, he said it would take an hour to fix and was done completely after only 57

Minutes. What impressed me was not only that he got it right the first time, but what other A/C

company workers have never done, he left my A/C unit and the area around it cleaner than when he

started. No workers ever have done that. “Think about that for second.” How would you like me

to come fix something at your home and after you pay me your hard earned cash (even if I do the job

right the first time) and then I leave it to you to clean up after. THANK YOU. I will always call on Gary

for all heat & A/C needs.

I've used Gray in the past and have always had a good experience, but yesterday was horrible! The appt was made for servicing 2 coolers, replacing a faucet in the kitchen, and replacing the flappers in 3 toilets. The guy showed up, spent 3 hours at my house, then said one cooler had to be replaced. The other cooler he "serviced." He replaced 2 flappers because he didn't have a 3rd one and he said "yep that faucet needs to be replaced" but he didn't have a faucet so he didn't replace it.....Then I get home from work later that evening, turn on the cooler he serviced and it doesn't work. The after hours guy came out, replaced the belt which was about to break (Hello? Isnt that part of servicing it???) and cleaned the contacts. The guy during the day said he had replaced the motor, but the after hours guy said no he hadn't. So basically in 3 hours he replaced 2 flappers and charged me $200! NEVER AGAIN!

WOW!!!!!!!! I am surly impressed with the professionalism of Gray Heating and Air Conditioning. I called them to ask how much it would cost for my refrigerated air conditioner to be repaired after having it diagnosed by another company to compare price and have the unit repaired ASAP. Their Customer Service Representative named Rosa was the most curtious person I have ever met on the telephone. She is so knowlageable about everything and prompt. She returns calls and she gave me a rough quote. I was impressed she told me that she could have someone out here the very next day by 12 noon now I was overwhelmed by how soon they were able to get someone out here and the pricing was excellent. The next day I received a call at 9:18 a.m. that the tech would be here in aprox. 1/2 hour. that was 3 hrs earlier than my actual appointment. NOW IS THAT IMPRESSIVE OR WHAT!!!!!!. The tech compleated everything in 3 1/2 hours. Replaced Compressor, wiring,capasitor, dryer,freon,acid washed, and soldered. Complete Job. The Tech was Benje and He was curtous and extremely Professional. Got down to Business and Got the Job done in a Jiffy. I WOULD RECOMMEND THIS COMPANY TO ALL MY FRIENDS AND FAMILY. HIGHLY IMPRESSED AND COMFORTIABLE IN A COOL REFRESHED HOME.
