The GC was hired by my insurance company so I thought nothing of it. First they started work without even trying to get permits, then brought me papers to sign making me responsible if anyone was hurt or work didn't pass inspection! I did not sign, they then chose materials for me without asking if it was what I wanted saying that the originals could not be replaced due to cost, even though I am insured for $198,000 and his bid was $19,000. I found out later that they had bid the job without ever seeing the property or the damages. It has now been about three months since so called completion, and the whole roof is now leaking and sagging, and 19 of the 24 beams have split and there is further damages to my home from the bad construction letting water in from heavy rains where the roof was never sealed. We have a new contractor now who must remove ALL of the structure built by CSS and make from scratch. And turns out the insurance adjuster is best buds with CSS.DO NOT HIRE THESE PEOPLE
