We recently sold our washer and dryer as we are moving out of state. It has left me of course, needing a laundromat. My first trip to Crossroads was New Year's eve. I had no idea what to expect, but assumed it would be like many others I've seen over the years. As far as the way it looked, that's more or less true. But, I absolutely love this place!

The gentleman that worked at the desk was friendly and helpful. The facility was clean and obviously well managed.

I had a high end front loading pair at our home before we sold them, but noticed over time that the clothes were getting dingier all the time. Also, they were never soft no matter what I did. The water in this area is hard enough that softening agents only made the clothes feel so-so.

On the door of this laundromat they have a notice that they use a particular water softener process or service or additive. I don't remember which. What I noticed though was that the clothes were MUCH softer and also CLEANER! I opened the lid a couple of times while they were washing and noticed the water getting more and more gray. This may have been from my low-water machine simply not getting all of the products off the clothing in the rinse cycle. At Crossroads this was certainly not a problem.

I found their prices reasonable. I used the regular sized washers which were $2.00 each in the form of purchased tokens. The dryers were 8 minutes for $0.25. Each load needed about 30 minutes or so to dry, just as they used to in my own machines.

I very much recommend this laundromat.
