Darel Lasher, owner of Pro Auto, was the builder of my '81 C10 shorty low-rider. He did everything on this street ride, except bodywork and some interior adjustment. All of Darel's work is excellent, but I'm particularly fond of his acumen at building dependable drivetrains and muscle engines. That loaded 355 Chevy mill he built makes that C10 run like a house afire. Perhaps what I admire most about Daryl is that he doesn't prevaricate. You tell him what you want done, and he's likely to tell you: "OK, we can do that, but here is what I'd do . . ." I have found it wise -- painfully so, at times -- to rely on his recommendations. Does he charge much for his work? Yes. But it's quite a bargain when considering the alternatives.
