Great work, fair prices. They replaced the transmission on my truck. Were honest & responsible.

I've been taking my car to American Transmissions for the past year and the crew there have been great. They have never "over sold" me on my repairs and have always been friendly and polite. I have checked around, and the prices and work they have done for me has been needed and well-priced. Mainly, I just feel comfortable working with them - particularly Dave, the owner. I give them 5 stars.

In may of 2006 my transmission broke on my 3000gt. I went to thier shop and they fixed it for $3600. It took about a month. Then pretty much exactly a year later it broke again. Lucky for them I drove too many miles so their 12000 mile warranty was no longer valid. They gave me a bit of a discount cause i was spent so much last time. It cost 2700 the second time and took a month and a half. A month after i got it back it broke for a third time. It has been in their shop for about 2 months now. They already told me they have the necessary parts to fix it they just don't have the time to get around to fixing it. Basically, since they have to cover it under warranty this time, they are just taking their time. Plus they told me they won't fix it again cause they think i have been racing it(Which i haven't). Avoid this shop, it is the worst business i have ever come across and wish i would have never went there to begin with.
