Douglass Elementary School, founded in 1939, is affiliated with the Rockingham County Schools. Located in Eden, N.C., the school provides a variety of educational and cocurricular programs to more than 400 students in prekindergarten through grade five. It offers various programs, including English, arts, music, science, mathematics and physical education. Douglass Elementary School also provides civics, history, economics, geography, speech, English as a second language, guidance, computer education and language arts. The school provides before and after school care to students in partnership with the Eden Young Men s Christian Association. It offers various events, including science and math festival, children's book week and book fairs.
