So this was my first time going to Hair Creations for a haircut, and I will never go back. My hairdresser was Valorie. I brought in 3 pictures, one of the hair cut straight on, one of it from the side, and one of it up in a ponytail so you could see how the bangs framed the face.

So anyways, Valorie had me sit down and was very nice. Instead of having my hair washed how it usually is when I get my hair cut, she wet it with a spray bottle. I was fine with that, since I had just washed it earlier, but the bottle wasn't set to mist. It felt like I was being squirted with a squirt gun. I had water dripping down my face. So then she got the scissors out and turned me away from the mirror so I couldn't see what she was doing. She would turn me to one side, cut my hair, and then spin me in the chair to the other side, and do the same. She never once looked at me straight on to see if everything was even.

Ok, so the hair cut I wanted was bangs just below the eyebrow and framed the eyes. In the picture the bangs stopped at the corners of the eyes and then the rest of the hair was below the shoulder. So Valorie finished cutting my hair and gets the blow dryer. It's set of the hottest heat ever, and shes brushing it like I'm some bratty kid that wont sit still. I could feel the hair being ripped out of my head, and then she had the nerve to ask me if she was hurting me. If you have to ask, then yes.

So I finally see my self from far away and I looked a little like a mushroom with the bangs, but I figured it was how she blow dried it. She had her other client waiting, so I paid her and left. Got in the car so I could finally look at it up close. One side of the bangs were cut and inch away from my eye, the other side was at my ear! The were super uneven, and shorter than I wanted. I went back inside and waited for a minute for someone to notice me since there is no receptionist desk. I tell Valorie that my bangs were uneven and one side was shorter. She apologized and "fixed it". I'm furious watching her, but I have a hard time speaking up for myself sometimes. I'm trying to tell her its uneven, and shes arguing with me that I'm looking at it wrong. Then she admits she cut it uneven, but I could still style it to look how I wanted.

So by the end of it I ask for a refund. My haircut was $30.90. She said she would give me half back since she already cut my hair. So she gets her manager who has been glancing over the whole 3 hours I've been in there. I show him the pictures of what I wanted, he said there wasn't much that could be done since the hair was already cut, but he would try to fix it when he was finished with his client. He was very polite.

I don't think Valorie wanted him to look at my hair, because after he left, she gave me my "full" refund, but really she shorted me the 90 cents. I don't even know how this girl cuts hair for a living. Completely hacked my hair, and didn't cut it how I wanted at all!

I went to the salon I normally go to (I went to Hair Creations because I just moved, and it was a lot closer and had good reviews.) They fixed it the best they could, but it is going to take years for my hair to grow enough to get it cut the way I originally intended.
