Having real teachers tutor my kids is really where Sylvan stands out. It's not like other tutoring places where anyone can teach (like highschool students). Sylvan is quality, quality teachers, quality learning. I love bringing my kids here and having them love to learn again.

My son was there for 2 months and learned nolthing. I was put off when I asked about progress and we never had monthly assesments as told in the begining. They over charged me more than once and months later I still havnt received a credit or a return call

My first two children were terrific students so I was a bit surprised to see my last child struggle in math. While she is a wonderful reader and typically an A student, math was demanding too much of her time. By happenstance our pediatrician mentioned that she had sent her son to Sylvan when he was in forth grade, the same grade as my daughter, so I decided to call them.



After her assessment, they put on a new learning tool that Sylvan is testing and my daughter loves it. She looks forward to going to Sylvan and seems more confident in her math abilities. From the progress test Sylvan gave her, to measure how much she has academically grown, the results showed more than a two year growth with in 36 hours. The summer isn’t over yet but so far I’m pleased.



They do have a guarantee about academic growth so anyone checking them out should ask about it. Also, not all kids get to use this new learning tool that they are developing so I would recommend you try and get your child on it.

I sent my son to Sylvan in Easton. He had been having difficulty with reading and math since 1st grade and my wife and I decided to enroll him at Sylvan while he was in 4th grade. We decided have Sylvan work only on his reading. We all saw an improvement relatively quickly in his confidence and motivation. As of this writing, he has been there for five months and I think he is nearly done. His grades have improved, he’s happier and my wife and I feel the money (not cheap) was well spent.
