History: The Maine Fish Market building is one of the oldest commercial buildings in the state, dating back to 1780's. The Vamvilis family began a Fish Market in 1980 that had a retail market and served take out fish & chips and other seafood entres. Nick and John Vamvilis have run the restaurant in the current location since 1986. Retail Counter: Maine Fish Market offers a wide variety of fresh seafood at our retail counter. All items are sold according to current market prices. My dad took me there for dinner for my birthday and it was really good. A little long to wait, but other than that, I had a super 22nd bday
