Community Options is one of the worse organizations in the field of social services to work. Over the past couple years the organization is incorporating OMRDD regulations with an overemphasis on initiating abuse allegations with the outcome of a majority unfounded. Staff have low morale, and management (primarily) women constantly are at odds with little respect for the other's professional opinion. Wages start at $8.00 increasing to $9.00 after medication administration. Most of the management including the Assistant Director (Kristine Firenze) are unprofessional. Anyone seeking higher income or more professional standards is blacklisted by the Assistant Director meaning she denies employment with the organization making it appear the employee was lying about employment with the organization. Staff that have worked there 15 years state the organization has become worse with the current management. Anyone seeking temporary employment during the sour economy should avoid the Syracuse location if wanting to improve income at some point-anyone currently working with the organization will need to avoid using Kristine as a reference and need to obtain employment verification through the Princeton office in addition to using a source such as Lexis Nexis for evidence of blacklisting if choosing to seek legal options.
