Isaiah House is a nonprofit agency that was formed in 1984 as a result of an alliance between the Community Service Council of the Oranges and Maplewood, the Junior League of the Oranges and Short Hills, and the Concerned Clergy of East Orange. It is a community-based organization that provides temporary lodging, food, social and financial services to more than 100 families each year. Isaiah House offers a variety of support services to family members, including life skills training, instructions in household and money management, job search assistance, tutoring and medical referrals. The agency s residential programs include Emergency Shelter, Brothers-with-Brothers, Residence for Teen Girls and Community Cr che. Isaiah House is based in East Orange, N.J.
