This company came in as a second choice after my original estimate. They were on time and very professional. They went over and above to fix my problem and my Chinney looks new and amazing. The best part is they saved me money because they were cheaper than my first estimate. I highly recommend above the rest if I didn't I would not have let them look at my mothers Chinney after they fixed mine fantastic company who does fantastic work!!!!

This company was very honest, helpful and did an excellent job on my new stainless steel lining system The gentleman were wonderful I had several companies give me estimates but I chose this company because of the price and their professionalism I would recommend any one use them for chimney work

A few weeks back - I get a cold call from this company about a special $30 promotion to clean the chimney. I agree since we have not had it looked at since getting the house. Their appointment window was from 9am to 12pm - they showed after 2pm. Within 2 minutes of reviewing the boiler he said we had major problems and that he was saving my family's life. $14000 to reuild the chimney.The price then changed to $2600 for an overhaul. As the price continued to fall for a minimum level to ensure my life and the life of my family, I grew concerned as to whether this was all unnecessary. When I asked for a quote so I can get other opinions< i was told that the gas company would have to be contacted since this was a gas leak and too dangerous to leave unresolved. I demanded that they put it back the way they found it, and helped the assistant (seemed like a decent guy) put it back together again. I gave him the tip - since he did the work. $30 for some vacuuming and the putty to reseal the chute. Avoid this company. Use a referal from a friend or co-worker instead.

I used Above the Rest Maintenance recently for a free consultation after receiving a soliciting call from their company, I figured why not, what could be the harm. Let me tell you it was one of the worst mistakes I could have done. First of all they showed up an hour late, after a bogus excuse of a flat tire, then the "maintenance man" proceeded to investigate our chimney and I use that term investigate very loosely as the worker clearly did nothing for the 5 minutes he took to walk though my house and dirty my carpets with his work boots. The "chimney expert" then proceeded to spin a web of half truths, and outright lies about the condition of our chimney. The reason I know this is since then I've had 3 real experts from different companies for follow up inspections and found nothing wrong with my chimney. To hear the Above the Rest Maintenance worker tell it, my entire house was in eminent danger of collapsing, which is the total polar opposite from the truth. Again nothing was wrong with my chimney that wasn’t cosmetic in nature, and the worker wanted to charge me upwards of $3000 dollars, a total rip off. I told him no thanks, at which point he said he would have no choice to report my home to the city for violations. I mean are you kidding me, after unsuccessfully trying to rip me off for $3000, he then proceeds to threaten me!

So to conclude if you want an unknowledgeable, overpriced liar to come to your house and proceed to bully you out of your money for unnecessary work to your home, then this is the company for you. I would have put no stars, but that wasn’t an option. Please beware; this is the type of company that should be on those 20/20 investigative reports.
