Worst customer service ever!!!...

Worst customer service ever!!! I ordered three pieces of furniture and was told they would be ready for delivery in approximately 12 weeks. After 13 weeks with no contact from the store, I called for an update and was told that my furniture had just been finished and would be ready for delivery in a week or two. After 15 weeks with no further contact, I called again and was told my furniture had been sent back for refinishing because they weren't happy with the finish when it arrived in the store. After 16 weeks, I got a call from the store saying that my furniture had actually been damaged in transit and had to be repaired or rebuilt (I never did find out which). After 22 weeks (5 months!) I got a call from the store saying they were ready to deliver my furniture.



Not once was I offered an apology or any type of discount or compensation for the fact that it took nearly double the amount of time. When they called to schedule delivery, they weren't even aware that it had been 22 weeks since the furniture was ordered.



The furniture turned out to be beautiful but the customer service was unacceptable and I will never shop here again. I understand that things happen and furniture can be damaged in transit, but 2 phone calls in 22 weeks with no apology and/or offer of compensation is an appalling way to run a business.

While we are proud to have not delivered to you less than acceptable furniture that did not meet our standards - which are strict - obviously, 22 weeks with minimal contact is unacceptable. We are hoping you read this response and will give our store a call, to speak with a manager. We want to look up the formalities of your order to make this process right, and to make your next experience a much better one. Our associates, our furniture and our processes are much better than what you experienced this time.

We were in the market for to f...

We were in the market for to furnish both a dining room as well as bedroom. We shopped at a number of similar stores in the Lancaster area and decided on them for a combination of price and selection.



In our dealings with the store, here are first the PROS:



1) sales, Darren, was a joy to work with. Very professional, non-pressured, but also very well informed about the different manufacturers of Amish furniture and pros/cons of various options. He also went far beyond the call of duty when his colleague in another department (see CONS below) was not responding to our calls and did this colleague's job for him contacting one of the manufacturers about a defective piece!



2) delivery/set up crew were extremely careful and meticulous, making note of even some minor blemishes that we did not notice when then unpacked pieces from the manufacturer at delivery



CONS:



only one. While the rest of customer service, including the assistant head, also promptly returned our calls, the head of customer service rarely returned calls. At one point, we had to resort to calling our salesman, Darren, to follow up on an issue for us when the head of customer service did not (see above). In fact, this person's voice mail prompt even stated "Leave a message and I will call you back at my convenience".



Conclusion: we don't regret doing business with them in the past, and if not for that one CON, would have given them 5 stars. But with our experience with the head of customer service, would really have to have a serious price advantage before we consider doing a furniture order with them again.

Custom made furniture at disco...

Custom made furniture at discount prices, must see to believe. exceptional dining and custom made bedroom sets. You pick the finish, pieces and fabric you want, no extra charge. I have purchased a hutch from one set, table from another and chairs from yet another. They were all made to match, georgous!!!!!! At prices cheaper than a local furniture chain. Solid oak and pine. Too many entertainment centers to pick from. Worth the trip, stay for dinner next door at shady maple while your there!
