I think this facility should be closed down... The facility has the worst administration staff especially the leaders of the building.. The don is a very disrespectful she acts as if she has no concern of the patients. I had two family members at the facility and every time I visited them the nurses was always talking about her and didn't mind letting the families that were visting hear them. My dad was able to tell me that she was sleeping with one of her nurses. And that was very inappropriate. They have been threw so many administrators and still can't get it right over there. Yes it's not in a good location but that is where us as east chicago tenants see as our neighborhood and they are giving BAD care there. My uncle was there a couple of months ago and they discharged him home with nothing and if I had answered my phone the social worker said they were going to drop him off at a shelter I wanted to let her have it but doing the conversation I could tell she had no clue as to what she was doing. I was on my way out of town when my dad was admitted there and the girl who does the paper signing asked could she fax me the papers out of town so I could sign them cause she was going to get in trouble if they was not done and I was very stunned. I tried to speak with the administrator about an issue and she basically told me that I can take my dad home which I did an unfortunately he passed away a week later once I got him home. I would not recommend a dead dog there it is a very dirty building and the staff steals from the patients. I could go on. STAY AWAY FROM LAKE COUNTY NURSING HOME IF YOU WANT YOUR LOVE ONES TO LIVE AND GET BETTER.

PERSONALLY,I WORKED FOR LAKE COUNTY FOR ALMOST 2 YEARS AND TO BE QUITE HONEST,I WOULDN'T PLACE MY WORST ENEMY IN THAT DISGUSTING FACILITY. THIS FACILITY HAS MICE AND BUGS EVERYWHERE AND THEY ARE ALWAYS SHORT STAFFED. THE EMPLOYEES ARE BARELY SHOWN ANY TYPE OF RESPECT FROM THE D.O.N AND THE ADMINISTRATOR. THAT FACILITY HAS HAD SO MANY BOSSES,I CAN'T KEEP UP. THE TWO THAT ARE THERE NOW ARE VERY UNPROFESSIONAL. THEY NEVER HAVE ENOUGH SUPPLIES FOR THE RESIDENTS THERE AND SOME OF THE NURSE THAT WERE THERE WERE IN TO SOME THINGS THAT WOULD GET THEIR LISCENSE TAKEN AWAY FROM THEM. I'D NEVER WORK FOR THAT PLACE EVERY AGAIN. THAT PLACE ITSELF WOULD PAINT A BAD PICTURE FOR ALL THE OTHER NURSING HOMES. IF YOU EVER CONSIDER PLACING A LOVED ONE IN LAKE COUNTY NURSING IN EAST, CHICAGO, YOU'RE BETTER OFF TAKING CARE OF THEM YOURSELVES. DON'T WASTE YOUR HARD EARNED MONEY ON THAT RUN DOWN SHACK. EVERYTHING FROM THE UPPER STAFF TO THE FOOD IS TERRIBLE. AND THE STATE IS THERE SO MUCH,YOU'D THINK THEY LIVED THERE.....
