Paul Penland, a personal injury attorney and workers' compensation attorney, provides clients with a straight forward assessment of what can and cannot be done for them. We provide prompt responses to questions about negligence, personal and bodily injuries, wrongful death and workers' compensation claims ( on-the-job accidents/diseases ) and we do it in plain English. Paul has over 33 years in the practice of law. Personal injury ( negligence ) claims, workers' compensation claims and litigated matters have alway been the focus of his practice. We do not charge an initial consultation fee for an injury or wrongful death case. We accept contingent fee cases ( our fee is based on a percentage of the recovery we obtain for you ). We are a small firm and choose our cases carefully. This allows us to provide our clients with personalized attention. In our personal injury selection process we look first to cases involving serious injuries ( medical expenses in excess of $5, 000 ), catastrophic injuries, or death. Our workers' compensation case selection is based on seriousness of the injury, extent of impairment, and non-medical factors that impact the injured worker's ability to engage in gainful employment. As a former attorney for the Idaho Special Indemnity Fund Paul has a special interest in cases involving total permanent disability. Penland Law Office, Chartered's, broad client base allows Paul to have a statewide practice. Paul has represented clients in virtually every Idaho county but most of our clients are in Boise, Eagle, Nampa, Caldwell Payette, Weiser, and Mountain Home. However, we also have represented clients in Jerome, Twin Falls, Haley, Rupert, Burley Pocatello, Blackfoot and Idaho Falls in central and eastern Idaho. In northern Idaho we have represented clients in Coeur d'Alene, Wallace, Sandpoint Bonners Ferry and points in between. When not acting as an advocate on behalf of a person, partnership, or corporation, Mr. Penland may be found working as an arbitrator in the private dispute resolution process or acting as a hearing officer in governmental employee/employer disputes and licensing matters for the Idaho Board of Occupational Licenses. Paul S. Penland has been practicing law since 1976. He has been a named partner in Boise law firms since 1980.
