The Field Operations Division is a part of the Public Works Department, which is governed by the City of Duncanville in Texas. The division maintains heavy and light equipment, trucks, cars and emergency vehicles for the police and fire departments. Its wastewater division is responsible for the maintenance of more than 140 miles of wastewater mains and over 1650 manholes. The Field Operations Division maintains creeks, drainage ditches and sand roadways during freezing weather conditions. The division administers an annual asphalt overlay program to repave deteriorated streets throughout the city. In addition, it responds to complaints and emergency conditions related to traffic control devices.
