The Livermore-Amador Valley Water Management Agency was established in 1974 by the government of the City of Livermore and the Dublin San Ramon Services District. Also known as LAVWMA, the agency discharges treated wastewater to the San Francisco Bay Area for disposal purposes. It has a design capacity of more than 41 million gallons daily. The Livermore Amador Valley Water Management Agency includes a pump station that features various storage basins to hold up to 18 million gallons of water. The agency s export pipelines spreads across an area of over 15 miles. It receives treated wastewater from a variety of plants.
