Horrible experience will not be back. We have been coming to Hana Japan in Dublin for approx.16yrs. & have always enjoyed it. Last night however left a bad taste in our mouths. We were seated at a dirty & sticky table. Next we ordered Shrimp & Mushroom appetizer overcooked & frozen yuck, salad dressing NO flavor, Miso soup tasted like a can of straight broth no Miso nor soy cake. Beautiful new menu & new prices Wow very high. We ordered Combos NY steak/scallops & Filet (medium rare) / Lobster. NY thickness less than 1/4" & Filet even thinner. The Filet was so small no more than 2 oz with circumference slightly larger than a silver dollar piece & paper thin. It was smaller than a regular McDonald's hamburger as my husband told the waitress. It was so small & paper thin that it split apart before the chef could even cook it. The Lobster it too was small & was like eating rubber with no flavor. I never ate the Filet. Hana Japan took the steak off our bill without hesitation. Hana Japan should be ashamed of the high prices they are charging when the restaurant is smelly, very outdated & dreary. The quality & quantity of the food is down way down. Oh by the way my husband has been up all night with diarrhea. We will not be back unless things change.

Goodbye Hana Japan it was fun while it lasted.

We always have a great time when we go here! The kids love the chefs and us adults love the food!

My family and I ate here last week. We had reservations at 7:00 with a birthday, but we were sat about 7:10-7:15. I'll give them the benefit of the doubt because when we walked into the waiting room it was absolutely PACKED. We sat down with a couple next to us. We actually made very good friends with this couple by the end of the night, very nice people =). Our waitress was attentive to our table, and the cook (mookie i think his name was) was super funny and talented! The only odd thing was candle mountain thing they had? When we asked about it they told us it was a 20+ year old candle mountain that had been tradition there. sure?



All in all we were satisfied and happy about our meal and we will definitely return for some good food and entertainment. (especially for the free birthday!)

Good food, hot and smokey inside. We continue to go back though...
