A wonderful used bookshop. A courteous owner and employees combined with great prices and clean stock. The books look new or nearly new and many are priced under $5.00. Hardcovers, paperbacks, a bargain section (priced under $1.00!), two floors of great books. Children's, history, science & nature, literature, mystery, science fiction, cookbooks, crafts, biography and more. I stop in often because the stock changes quickly. My favorite section is the new arrivals. Central Books is located in the heart of Doylestown and when you visit you will get a double treat because right across the hall is another used bookshop! Book-lover's heaven!!

Simply put - Central Books is a book lovers bookstore. And as a book lover myself, I highly recommend it.

Great used bookstore with excellent selection and friendly service. The owner went out of her way to help me find what I was looking for.

I love bringing my grandkids to this shop, so I want to point out that there is actually TWO used book shops in the same building and the reviewer below that complains about the rude shop owner is talking about the OTHER shop that sells the old books and fancy books. Central Books is a friendly place and the staff people are real nice.

Besides a good library, every town should have a good, general-use used bookstore with a friendly, helpful owner. This is definitely D'town's! I'm always happy to stop here when I'm back in town.

I grew up in Doylestown but now live in Kansas. I stumbled upon Central Books about 15 years ago when I came back for a visit. I was able to find a few political biographies that I could not find anywhere else.the owner was very attentive and helpful. The two places I always go when I am in town are Italian Delight and Central Books. Both are always with the trip.

Great selection & service !! Could peruse the shelves for hours!!
