I want to preface by saying Dr. Reich is an incredible surgeon. This review in no way reflects my experience with this care. However, the billing department has some inherently concerning practices. Last may, I spoke with a member of billing regarding paying of the totality of my remaining balance, which I thought was completed. However, I recently received a call from collections letting me know White Birch had sent a bill of $40 to collections even after receiving the bill "return to sender" because I no longer lived at the address I did when my surgery was performed or the address I lived at when I was still paying my bill. Without the courtesy of providing me with a voicemail they sent me to collections. When I called for an explanation they claimed they could not get through to me, which has never been an issue for anyone else or for them in the past, and my phone has never been shut off. My credit was tarnished for a $40 White Birch knew I had the ability to pay and my past payment history showed I would not allow any balance to become negligent. Think twice before trusting the billing department. They may just ruin credit you worked to build, over $40.

I received the best treatment and experience I could have hoped for! The Dr was professional, understanding and took the time to make me feel comfortable about the surgery I needed. I had a previous traumatic experience at another office and didn't want to relive the same pain.



On the day of surgery they had me in and out in less than an hour for wisdom teeth removal! I woke up completely coherent and (for what I've been through) feel pretty darned good!



This doctor is amazing and so scheduling can be tough, because everyone is going to him. I recommend being real with him about how you feel and what your expectations are. He will respect you and be able to address your concerns.

I have thought about this review for over a month, because I needed some perspective on exactly what happened. Let me boil it down to the key elements:

The staff is friendly, the doctor made a great first impression, the office was clean.

However.

The doctor refused to help me find an antibiotic that was safe for breastfeeding women, saying my son was "old enough" and that I "could stop if (I) wanted to, for (my) health." My son was 17 months old at the time, so, far under the 2yr mark suggested by the WHO. And regardless, not his decision to make or advise me on. When the pharmacist called the doctor on my behalf to ask for a new prescription, he was unreachable for nearly 45 minutes despite being on call.

During the tooth extraction he numbed the wrong part of my mouth. When I let him know that the extraction site still had total feeling, he said he would give me more Novocain before the extraction started. He meant literally right before - he didn't wait the usual 5-10 minutes. He actually injected it into the site, I closed my eyes because it was painful, and he immediately pulled the tooth and biopsied beneath it. It took everything I had to sit still, I was making noise and visibly crying, shaking uncontrollably, and his only reaction was, "You have a lip ring, you're tough. We're almost done." When it was over (thank goodness, it was very quick) he left the room and I didn't see him again. His assistant gave me the followup information on how to take care of the extraction site, and someone else called to check up on me later that afternoon. It was terrible. He knew I would feel it, he did not demonstrate any sensitivity to either my wishes for my treatment or for the pain he caused, and the things he said jokingly during that time only served to terrify me more. I won't even go back to him for the followup appointment, I will never let that man anywhere near me again. I absolutely do not suggest going here.
