People really can’t learn well without relationships. Sure, they can process information and take standardized tests, but a mind by itself can only answer its own questions and is rarely, if ever, inspired. Often couples treat and talk to each other in a manner they wouldn't use with anyone else. Disagreements are part of any partnership, but some fighting styles are particularly damaging. Couples that use destructive behavior during arguments — such as yelling, resorting to personal criticisms or withdrawing from the discussion altogether will hurt the relationship. You don't have to wait until a relationship shows signs of trouble before working to strengthen your union. Programs that teach skills such as good communication, effective listening and dealing with conflict have been shown to reduce the risk of an unhealthy relationships. This class will help you communicate better in everyday life.

Connections Family Resource Center truly helps with coping and over coming life changing issues on a daily basis. The skills, patience, and understanding I've learned in just a few weeks, are my 'go to' options when making everyday decisions. I'm learning to celebrate my 'micro-wins' and take responsibility for my reactions! The staff are sensational, and Mrs. Harris is an inspiration. The class i attend was court appointed, but with no doubt i think everyone in our class can agree, that we are glad we stepped our foot in the door!
