Pre packaged food. Had to ask for water refill at least twice. Music inappropriate & too loud at 3:00 pm in April 2019.

DO NOT EAT HERE!
Management has POOR communication skills and the service it’s VERY unprofessional and untimely. Also, Interesting to learn that Southern Fire is owned by the same owner of Nikki’s Lounge.
First time attending Southern Fire for my birthday. Dined in 3/2/2019 at 5:00 party of 3 and waited 10 minutes to be seated due to there being no host/hostess
. When seated our waitress Briana walked away while we were still ordering our food and did not return for atleast 5 minutes.
There was a 20 minute wait for ice water, which is just ridiculous and waitress Briana did not leave straws.
We received our waters at 5:30 We sat and waited an entire HOUR FOR APPETIZERS and when it finally came out the food was cold at 6:04.
We address this issue with the manager Warren G. Who did nothing but raise his voice and sarcastically proceeded to announce that this was an issue we cause ourselves.
Our ENTREES arrived at our table around 6:25 A HOUR AND 25 MINUTES AFTER ARRIVING! The order were wrong and had to be remade. The waitress Briana did not leave napkins.
The manager Warren G. Told us that there was no one above him that we could reach out to in regards to the terrible service provided and did not offer anything to accommodate us.
Contacted Nikki’s Lounge in GreekTown and spoke with the manager Steve who was very polite & let us know he’d contact the co-owner.
Around 8:00pm on 3/2/2019 I was contacted by I’m assuming the co-owner whom name is Eddy. He only gave me his name but not an actual title. I explained the experience we had and Eddy response was very nonchalant and he even said there was an report given that our party use profanity and was disrespectful which was not true. Unfortunately there is nothing Eddy could do in order to improve the experience or provide better customer service. We weren’t looking for a discount or anything free. We were simply addressing the terrible service and management at the establishment.

Awesome place to eat! I would recommend this restaurant. The wait staff was nice and very pleasant.

A party if 20 went on a Sunday (1st mistake ) we waited an hour no chairs are in the lobby and when we finally hit to our table the waitress greeted us like she was ready yo fight! Also they said we couldn't have seperate checks!! so at the end of our meal we're all pulling out calculators a MESS !! And if you order a take out dinner or dessert after your meal they tax on gratuity to that also. We'll NEVER NEVER BE BACK!!

We had a small group of four, we got seated right away, the food was very good, but as we sat an talked the restaurant started to get busy, the waiter came over an told us that he was not rushing us but the people next to us was a hundred an fifty dollar table, an we could move to another table. This was rude an stupid. I understand you have to get your money but I'm a paying customer to show some respect.

This place has good food and there's no doubt about that! What they are not is fast food. They can be on the slow side. I wouldn't go on lunch, short on time, or with a large group. The best thing to do is a carry out. Also the service could be better. I was told my steak could only be prepared "well done". I thought this was very odd. Needless to say I didn't get the steak. Everything else is quite good though.

I love the food and the service...anyone complaining about the portions must be a fat cow ...no matter what u order u get a lot of to eat there and some to take home...anyone complaining about the weit must be blind...THERE IS SO MANY PEOPLE THAT EAT THERE ofcourse u have to weit a lil bit but its all worth it...IF THAT MANY PEOPLE LOVE TO EAT THERE IT MUST BE A GREAT PLACE...i recomend this place to everyone YOU WILL LOVE IT....i swear the people that are writin bad reviews about this resturant must be owners from other resturants and just are very jelous...ITS SIMPLY THE BEST!!!! shpresa

Expect to wait once you have ordered your food. The customer service is what is lacking at this restaurant. They are not very accomodating. However if you order all of your food to go...then it is the best soul food restaurant downtown...

The food is the best!, the portions and the service is the worse. You pay for 2 pieces of meat (fish) is what I eat and the sides come in Baby size Bowls..Plan to wait an hour even when the place is empty. 2 hours when it is full.
