Established in 1971 as an American diner in London, Hard Rock Caf has grown to become a global restaurant chain and a leading collector and exhibitor of rock n roll memorabilia. With a location in Detroit, it serves a variety of sandwiches, burgers, starters, desserts, salads and entrees. The restaurant s menu also includes pasta, garlic toast, french fries, chicken club sandwiches, chocolate cakes and ice cream. Hard Rock Caf hosts a variety of events, including corporate events, themed parties, press conferences, CD release parties, rehearsal dinners, receptions and student group events for up to 1,500 guests. It also allows its customers to explore signature pieces from a large collection of rock memorabilia that includes Louis Armstrong s personally owned trumpet, Jimi Hendrix s handwritten lyrics and Little Richard's stage-worn jumpsuit and cape. The caf started with an Eric Clapton guitar and today it features more than 70,000 guitars, drums, pianos, harmonicas, microphones, scarves, cars, bikes and various rock memorabilia on the walls of over 130 Hard Rock cafes, hotels and casinos in nearly 42 countries worldwide.
