Dr. Patel graduated from BJ Medical College and Gujarat University in Gujarat, India. He completed his Pediatric residency at St. Joseph Mercy Hospital in Pontiac, Michigan and his fellowship in Neonatal/Perinatal Medicine at Metro Health Center in Cleveland, Ohio. He is a member of the American Academy of Pediatrics and the Society of Michigan Neonatalogists.
