Never Again

I had a "reservation" at 4am to take me to the airport. Got a call at 3:45am saying they have no drivers available. Isn't that the point of making a reservation ahead of time? Called several other companies before I finally fount young that could pick me up. Never again will I go through that stress.

Quoted time 5-15 minutes. I called at 15 minutes and they said they were working on it. Got a call 10 minutes later from the driver saying he just got the call and would be another 11 minutes. 40 minutes later....

I woke up at 1:30 in the morning to my fiance saying the cab driver was calling the cops on her for not paying even thought we have the money but is refusing to take her debit card. I went outside and the driver was saying the card was declined. I had just got paid and my fiancé used it earlier in the night to get cash to got out with her friends. He called the police on us and was refusing to take me or her to an ATM to get cash and he was parked in my driveway blocking my car in. The dispatcher told the driver to calm down and take one of us to an ATM where the debit card worked fine. Driver was very disrespectful and hostile.

I gave this taxi service a 1 star but that's being generous, if I could i would give it a -10 star rating. I chose this taxi service because you could set up a reservation ahead of time for your taxi. A lot of good that did me...I set my reservation at 9:05 AM I did not hear from them when that time came around so after it had been a good 20 to 30 mins I called and asked what the hold up was. They told me the driver was 6 miles away and that he would be there shortly. I then waited for another 30 mins, by this time I was already late for work. I called them back and they said the driver was 5 miles away this time. This went on for another few calls. I finally gave up after the cab was an hr and a half late. I WOULD NEVER recommend this taxi company. They are ridiculously late every time and don't care at all about making their customers late for their appointments, work etc.

if you want to miss your airplane or bus, please feel free to take it. Always half an hour late to pick you up, I made my air plane first time, and second I learned and make 20 mins in advance, but this time never works. Lessons learned, thank you.

I have used Freedom Cab regularly for almost two years. I called today 6/04/2011 at 4:25 p.m. for a cab within 30 minutes I told the dispatcher/owner OK was his reply/ at 5:10 p.m. I got a ride with a friend I was tired of waiting. I DID call them at 5:20 to cancel, the owners wife said, "THANKS FOR WASTING OUR TIME YOU INCONSIDERATE A$$"and hung up. As a student of criminal justice at DMACC Ankeny, I will be sure to let all my police friends know of my experience with FREEDOM CAB and I will NEVER EVER use them again

On Christmas eve we were stranded in Colfax and Aden picked us up and drove us home to Ames. Thanks for the rescue and the prompt service.
