East High School is operated by Des Moines Schools, and serves students in grades nine through 12. Its curriculum includes business, English, family and consumer sciences, fine arts, foreign language, mathematics, physical education, science, social science, special and technology education. Its offers sports activities, including cheerleading, cross country, football, golf, soccer, swimming, tennis, basketball, volleyball, wrestling and softball. The school provides scholarships, meal services and has a guidance programs and fully equipped library. It has a jazz band and orchestra and organizes debate and dance competitions.
