Thornton High School offers classes in grades nine through 12 and enrolls more than 2,300 students. It is located in Thornton, Colo. It provides a college preparatory curriculum and its courses include English, social studies, mathematics, science, physical education, health education, humanities, computer science and a choice of more than 20 electives. Advanced placement courses are available for students who wish to earn college credit while in high school. Its resources include math, science, computer and graphic arts labs, and a library with an integrated media center. It has a school improvement team, comprising teacher, parents and students, which develops new goals for the school. Thornton High School offers various sports, including basketball, football and volleyball.
