At CIC it's all about you. We take the time to listen to you; your desires, your concerns, what you really need from a massage. During your session, we use an integrative approach, using the techniques that will work best for you, applied with attention, caring, and a dash of humor. Whether you need a light touch Swedish massage, or deep therapeutic work, we will work to find the right touch for you. * Maintain the Highest Professional and Ethical Standards for Our Industry * Promote a Spirit of Respect and Co-Operation between the Massage Industry and Other Health Care Professionals * Promote Self-Care Techniques for Strength, Flexibility, and Stress Management to Prevent Future Injury and Pain * Provide Attentive, Quality, Caring Therapeutic and Medical Massage To Our Clients Our ideal student is someone that is looking for a smart investment that doesn't take a lot of cash out of their pocket, lets them graduate without any debt, and still gives them more than enough knowledge to stand above the rest in ability and understanding of the human body and all the silly things we do to it. John designed this school with open book tests on anatomy and physiology, believing that it is just as important to know where the information is as it is to recite it. Therapists learn best when they have their hands on somebody, so there is a 300 hour student clinic that allows students to apply what they learn in anatomy class the next day, thereby deepening their understanding. The school is designed as a work/study program, so clinic also pays most of the student tuition. Students pay $200.00 for the first 50 hours of training and malpractice insurance, plus the cost of books. There is also a self-paced practice management section that can put you in the top 3% of income earners in the massage field. After a certain amount of clinic hours we buy you a table, and send you to a business development class so you can network and ask the tax questions and organizational questions that will help you see your occupation as a business. Students will have to be able to pass a background check before enrolling, no need to learn the skill if the law won't let you practice. We want to train outstanding massage therapists and entrepreneurs, not corporate employees, so students will need to be committed to doing both the clinic and business development sections. Students will have to come to class, participate actively in clinic, and maintain an 80% or better average, because our students are all going to be above average when they graduate. John has been a male massage therapist in the field for 18 plus years. Most therapists only last 2 to 3 years before it become a part time hobby.
