EOG Resources, formerly known as Enron Oil & Gas Company, is one of the largest, independent, nonintegrated oil and natural gas businesses in the United States. Established in 1985, it explores, develops, produces and markets natural gas and crude oil in major producing basins in the U.S., United Kingdom, Canada, Trinidad and China. EOG Resources operates a shale gas play that is located in British Columbia in Canada and covers an area of more than 158,000 acres.
