My baby is at this vet as I write this review. Dr Ike seems genuinely concerned for her health & have been very blunt with me (which I appreciate greatly) I even got a pic of Dr Ike holding and cuddling my baby before they took her back for iv's.
I don't know if they will be able to save my sweet baby, but I feel confident they will give it 100%. Yesterday, the vet even took her to get a 2nd & 3rd opinion from the other dr's who work there. So thoughtful and reassuring.
Last year, I had the task of taking my kids (ex-husband's) dog to them. He had a disease and it was very agressive. Quick diagnosis & treatment. They did everything they could to save him, but it wasn't meant for him to live. I am really glad he was there & in good hands at the time of his passing.

I beg everyone to avoid this place, Dr. Smith and his completely unprofessional, untrained staff at all costs. My puppy was butchered so badly by him for a routine ear crop. He could not even be caring and compassionate enough to give back our mere $250 when we asked after having to go to 2 different vets just to have her looked at and to see if her ears would ever just be normal again. They couldn’t even tell us because her ears were so bad off they couldn’t hardly evaluate her. Don’t trust them with any living animal.

They need to get their stuff straight. They tell you one price then it's 3 times what they say it is when you go to get your pet. It's ridiculous

Dr. Scott Smith is the "Cat Whisperer". He is so gentle with animals. He clipped my not so trusting cat's claws. He need no assistance. I just watched in amazement!

He'll gladly take your money but won't gladly correctly treat your pet after hours!

Our 10 year old miniature Pomeranian had been treated there by the female veterinarian, she was good, and the main reason we went there. One night, our little dog would hardly get out of her bed. And when she would you could tell she wasn't feeling good because he tail was curled under. I felt her nose and it was hot and dry. We called Dodge City and was told to bring her in. She was seen by Dr. Smith, he immediately said she had a slipped disc in her back without taking x-rays. He gave her medicine and sent us on our way. When we asked about her nose being warm, if it meant she had a fever he said no. I've always heard when a dogs nose is warm then they have a fever. But, he still didn't take her temperature. 7 hours later our lil Rose died. The next day we called the vet to let him know and asked for him to return our call. It took him 2 days to do so. I feel if he had taken more time with her and not so rushed to get back to clean his horse stable, that our pet would still be alive! I'll never step back into that place nor will I ever recommend that place. I recommend you to NOT go!

All of my pets have gone here and the staff and doctors have always been very kind and caring. I can tell that they really love animals. My kitty has feline leukemia (got it from her mother as a baby) and they have been nothing but kind and understanding. Dr. Gary Sullivan is obviously a cat person. He fell in love with my kitty and when he called with the lab results I could tell in his voice that he wished it were better news. My two dogs love being boarded there when we go out of town because they get spoiled rotten. Don't believe all the bad reviews. Yes, some are going to have bad experiences at any vet's office, but personally I find everyone at Dodge City to be animal lovers.
