I contacted several companies for quotes and Deltona Sod was by far the best deal around. Rick is very accommodating and his crew are professional, helpful and friendly. They put the grass where I needed it and were very quick laying it. I had to reschedule several times and Rick worked with me. The grass is fresh and now it’s up to me.

There sod looks like crap

Hello,
I want to sod the side of my house. The side is 73x15 = 1,095 square feet plus I would like extra to spot fill areas on the rest of the lawn. Maybe 100-200 square feet. Can you give me a cost of the sod and delivery. Friends and I will be installing it. I live in Ormond Beach

I ordered 2 pallets of Bahia last year for my back yard and they did great and still look wonderful. I decided to totally redo my front yard so I did it all in the Bahia. I couldn't be happier! The ordering process was pleasant, the delivery was on time and as promised. I highly recommend Deltona Sod to anyone looking for sod. I did read the previous reviews that weren't great but I believe in basing my judgement on my own experience which was awesome. So again, I highly recommend this company to everyone!

I ordered bahia sod and it has been a month and my yard is great! They delivered the day they said and I have a great lawn. I fully recommend them!

I havent had the same experience as some of the other reviewers. I have ordered twice from Deltona sod. The first time I ordered St. Augustine grass. 1 pallet. It was nice grass when I got it. I used it to replace the grass the builder put in that died. That grass was the only grass to survive. After all my grass died in the back that was put in by the builder. I ordered 7 pallets of Argentine Bahia. It was delivered quickly and looks great so far no weeds. It has been two days since putting it down so I will update after some time has gone by. There are a lot of other things that go into keeping your grass healthy the soil bugs proper watering etc. Also other factors of when you are buying your grass time of year etc. I would order from them again in the future.

I had a skid of sod delivered that was almost perfect. Deltona Sod had the best price by far.A skid of Bahia for $60 delivered. They arrived on time and very courteous and professional. They placed the skid exactly where I requested. I have had the sod for 5 weeks and have found no weeds, no bugs and it grew in well. When it arrived, the blade color was a deep green and the soil was a dark brown. Out of 150 pieces on a skid, there were maybe 5-6 that fell apart. I almost didn't purchase from Deltona Sod because of the complaints but I have none. I did start laying the sod as soon as it was delivered and put water on the pieces that were left for the next day - some of the pieces lasted 2 weeks until I could complete the renovation. Very satisfied customer and would recommend them.

As of 8/19/10 they have yet to come visit our yard as they had promised. They now refuse to return phone calls or even pick up the phone. On 7/23/10 we had 3 pallets of sod delivered from them. There were pieces that were cut short underneath. Then on 8/7/10 when we went out to check on it & water the lawn like we had been doing for the past 2 wks we found all these little worms all over our driveway, sidewalk, & in the road. We picked a few up to take to Home Depot, on the way we saw a lawn pest company we stopped to ask what they were, his reply Army Worms. When we got to Home Depot they said the same thing. After doing research it turns out they destroy everything in their site. We promptly called this place on that Mon (since they aren't open on the weekends), left a message, again on Tues, and finally on Wed he called and said he would be out. I just purchased two pallets of sod (ZOYSIA) only 10 pieces out of the two palletswere unusable. I installed it myself and it looks wonderful. I bought 8 palletsof Bahia for the back yard last year, had some weeds and insects but it looks great. Decent prices on the SOD, and free delivery made it well worth the purchase.

Bought 7 pallets on Friday, 7/9/2010, and began to lay the sod.Roughly 50%, that means half, and I'm not joking fell apart while trying to pick it up to drop. I'm forced to try to roll it down as the consistency was that bad. I had to squat to place it as kicking it in place was not an option.If they inform the Farm they get their product from - you may get the benefit...........I did not.I went to the Orange City Home Depot and found what good Zoysia sod looks like.

I advise everyone not to purchase sod from Deltona Sod Service. Last summer we purchased several pallets of sod from Deltona Sod and it was of very, very low quality. It was loaded with weeds and much of the sod itself was dead, never to come back to life. It was particularly loaded with a large-rooted and deeply-rooted crabgrass type weed with tall, ugly seed stems that does not pull out. The only way to remove these is to dig them out with a small shovel which results in unsightly holes in the new "sod." They are so numerous we gave up trying to remove them. Other type weeds abound in the junk they sold us. We broke our backs installing this alleged sod
