I have not yet used their trapping services, but I had a great experience with them on the phone. They provide an education so their customers can make an informed decision - rather than automatically accepting your business. This tells me they treat it on a case by case basis and I am appreciative of that. I will use them if I cannot deter the animal and need it removed.

Slow Progress, Needed Homeowner Assistance, and Completion Requires More Money...Two -week program didn't work for us. Spent 6 weeks eventually catching 2 moles after we showed the technician other areas that had been in the yard from the start. Told I was on the 2 week plan ($189+moles) but they would help me out. Had to call them to return because moles were still destroying the yard and after we showed the technician the damage he said they trapped 2 more. Winter arrived but they still hadn't caught all the moles - 2 large areas are still being damaged and when I called I was told I'd have to go on the annual plan of $589 plus moles caught. People were nice but not adept at completely solving my problem unless I paid an extremely large amount of money, more. Previous experience was positive in 2011 but this time I'll have to start over... unless I want to spend 6 non-winter months and over $1,050 without being sure the task will be successfully completed in 2015. My wife was less patient than I was.

I wish I had a better experience but sadly I didn't. When I initially called and spoke with Derk (who I presumed to be the owner), he was extremely friendly and knowledgeable. I really needed service the same day but because my initial interaction went so well I decided to hire them even though they couldn't come until the following day. Once the traps were set, all niceties went out the window. To make a long story short, he basically called me a liar over the phone and he has no idea what his technicians are doing. At one point something didn't get done that was supposed to and his response to me in a snippy tone was "Maybe it got pushed back!". If it was, that's fine but it his tone & his response was inappropriate. When I asked him if he could contact his tech to find out what was going on, he then replied that he wasn't going to talk to his tech until the next day. He made it seem as though I was inconveniencing him by following up on work that should have already been done. After that, I asked him to go ahead and pick up his traps because our business was concluded. In a service business, customer service is EVERYTHING! Bottom line, I would NEVER, EVER refer anyone to this company. Call Critter Control instead. I used them in the past and my experience was much better!

I'm submitting this review to report on the great experience I had with The Wildlife Control Company. We had a family of raccoons living in the attic of our home. I called a competitor (VG) and Dirk Shearer's company. Out of the two, it was Dirk's that was willing to come out same day. Upon arrival, his investigation to the entry points was extremely thorough. Prior to setting traps, he attempted to manually extract the raccoons and was successful! His method of capture was nothing short of amazing. If you need to call him for a similar extraction and want references, please have him give you his Westerville Raccoon extraction. I will gladly tell you more. Great job to Dirk and his team!
