on 8 23 2017 .I visited stricklands for a throttle cable for McLane edger.no longer available.They researched and called me and offered to attempt to repair old one.I have used this place for years.customer service 2nd to non.great job.

Brought in my gas weedeater for repair. The weedeater would not start. Spoke with a couple people at Strickland Equipment after dropping off the weedeater and was advised that a carburetor kit was used for my weedeater but that it still wouldn't start. Advice was to buy a carburetor. The cost of the carburetor would be close to what I could buy a new weedeater for. Picked up my weedeater and paid $10.00 for the carburetor kit plus labor. Brought the weedeater to my father-in-law who built street rods and worked on thousands of small engines in his life, and he pointed out that the carburetor had never been worked on (the build of of oil and debris made this obvious even to me a non-mechanical person), he also pointed out the leaking fuel line (visible without any disassembling) , which Strickland Equipment obviously missed. So I'm out 10 bucks, but it could have been worse. Cannot recommend this repair shop.
