Took my car in Friday morning. I didn't get the car back until the following Tuesday afternoon. The repairs , costing $400, did nothing to fix the problem. I tried calling for the next 5 days but got no answer. I was unable to drive the car because of the problem. I finally had to take the car to another shop. Within 3 hours the problem was diagnosed and fixed at 1/2 the cost Don charged. I tried for 4 days to work out a refund from Don but he refused. I finally had to retain an attorney and sue him. Don may have been good years ago but now in his 80's he no longer has control over his mechanics and his shop has gone to hades. AVOID at all costs.

This shop is the best for price and knowledge. I've been going to Don since my parents had their cars repaired there. They always are very friendly. Sometimes they very busy and need to keep my car over night, but always have it done on time.

I have had nothing but great honest service from Don's since the 1980's. I have always felt comfortable with repairs and rates. I would and do recommend this company to anyone.

I went to have my AC checked. They first told me a switch had gone back and $600 later replaced that. Then they told me the switch didn't fix the problem and I needed a new compressor, which would cost over $1200. We've taken cars to Don for years and sent lots of friends there, but since I couldn't afford the fix, I've driven around for two years with no AC. My neighbors recently took my car to a mechanic while I was out of town and found the compressor was fine and all I needed was Freon. I feel so taken advantage of.

My Nissan Titan had the SLIP and ABS lights come on and then the speedometer went to zero and the emergency brake light lit up. I stopped for an appointment. After that, I could not start the truck. I had it towed to Don's. They kept it for a week and charged me over $900 for a central computer. It did not fix the problem. I took it back and spent over 7 hours waiting while they put in a "new" alternator. That did not fix the problem. I then took it to the Nissan dealer. They fixed it in about 4.5 hours and it cost me $500. Obviously, Don's took me to the cleaner. I am not happy and I can not recommend them to anybody. I am going to report them to the Better Business Bureau. John Knoll
