Love to charge you more, hit you with late fees, won't put any money into the weight lifting part of the gym but just replaced all of the cardio equipment most of which wasn't broken. There aren't enough weight bars to use the equipment that's there. Management wants to cry about too much noise when your deadlifting/squatting but won't tell the kids off who run around like it's a playground or correct anyone who is lifting improperly. They just reduced hours on saturdays but definitely didn't reduce the fees....If you want a "safe space" go to planet fitness. If you want to be surrounded by old people who have no gym courtesy, kids who run around and management who tells you off, go to the Y.

I would like to add in addition to the above review some of the gym high points. The treadmills and elliptical machines all have their own TV monitors with controls.. Way cool :-) The gym is kept very clean and all machines are maintained often. The staff are enjoyable from the front desk to child care to the gym. I encourage all to give this gym a chance. The pool hours are great for my schedule. I swim many times a week without any problems including daily maintenance. Since I began my membership, the pool had closed once due to chemical treatment. It had been raining a lot and the pool needed its dose... as every other pool in Florida needs as well. This is Florida now, we have rain and all pools need its regular maintenance. I would like to add, this YMCA has so much to offer a member, its all in accordance with what each person like to do. The classes such as Yoga and Stretching are fantastic especially for people whom have been away from the GYM for sometime. Thanks, enjoy this Y

Just renovated. I really like the gym. The classes are good although their schedules don't seem to work well for working moms. I like their ZUMBA class although they are always too full. The childcare is pretty good. I like the big windows. The swimming program for the kids is disappointing. They are sticklers about having 3 or more kids in the class. They end up canceling winter classes regularly. Eventually, when they do manage to get 6 or 8 kids in, there are way too many for the child to progress. Because their offering of swimming classes is limited, they end up having kids of various stages in the same class and the kids usually regress if they are not challenged by their peers and the instructor has to pay more attention to those that are too young or behind. Family swim time schedule usually falls at lunch time or dinner time. In the winter time the pool is open for very limited hours. So if you are signing up for membership because of the pool, you're wasting your money.
