 Wiley's Online is the social media division of Wiley's Trading Post, more commonly known as Wiley Outdoor Sports. Wiley's is a small, family-owned outdoor and leisure company established in Decatur, Alabama in 1953. Like many post WWII sporting goods stores, Wiley's began as a loan and pawn shop on $500 at the corners of Lee and Bank Streets and gradually added more and more sporting goods products to their inventory mix. In the 60's, Wiley's became Wiley Loan & Sales and then, Wiley Sporting Goods, with stores in both Huntsville and Decatur. In 1976, the Wiley brothers split the company with Wiley Sporting Goods in Decatur and Wiley Outdoor Sports in Huntsville. Wiley Sporting Goods closed their retail operations in 1986 and Wiley Outdoor Sports immediately opened another location in Decatur. In 2010, Wiley's closed their Huntsville location and consolidated into their Decatur superstore location where today it thrives. In 2014, Wiley's enters into its 61st year in business, having served over 3 generations of outdoor enthusiasts. We currently are morphing again as we, once again, get deeper and deeper into archery, reloading and camping and further expand the outdoor leisure category as we continue to add the really cool outdoor lines every loves like North Face, Patagonia, Chaco, Southern Point, Drake, Benchmade, Life is Good, Muck Boots, Southern Shirt Company, Walls/10X, Kavu, Costa Del Mar, ENO and so much more! One thing is for sure: Wiley's will try anything new which shows promise and will not be afraid to change, alter, expand or eliminate those brands and categories which may shrink or grow in the local marketplace. Online sales will be added in 2014, as well, with the plan to expand greatly in select areas of inventory. Wiley's....Fast Becoming The Coolest Store On The Planet!
