Recently, I contacted Hoffman Heating and Air for the first time, for an AC checkup and they attended my request with great professionalism. The gentleman was very knowledgeable in AC matters as he addressed the issue of a non working run capacitor, which was making my AC run at a low capacity. He replaced the part at an affordable price and now my AC unit is working great. I recommend Hoffman Heating and Air for your AC needs. They are not only knowledgeable and professional, but also a very reliable company.

On 17 May 2014, I had the compressor replaced on my A/C by Garrett. Not only did he fix my A/C in less time and for less money than what a bigger outfit in my area quoted, he did so with attention to detail and care. This is a company that cares about their work and wants to earn your business and trust.

I normally don't write reviews but felt compelled to write one about Garrett. Our A/C stopped working on Saturday night ( of course it had to occur on non normal business hours.) and I started making phone calls A/C repair companies. After calling all of the "Big" named companies and talking to their answering machines my wife gave me Garrett's number that she found on her Community Watch site she likes to visit. So I called him and lo and behold a live voice answered the phone. I explained the situation and he pretty much diagnosed it over the phone.
He said he was very busy at this point but could come over to my house on Sunday and fix my problem. He even gave me a price for the job, which I thought was actually a "too good to be true price" especially seeing that it was on a Sunday.
Garrett called prior to arriving on Sunday. Turned out his diagnosis was correct. Fixed the problem in under an hour, charged me what he had quoted me over the phone and was on his way to save another customer from this unbearable Florida heat.
Garrett is a true "Rock Star!"

Out of the other 4 Big named companies that I had called prior to Garrett, 2 called back that night and said they would try to get to me by Monday.
The 3rd called Sunday and said maybe Monday.
The 4th never returned my call.
It doesn't matter now anyway.
I've found my A/C guy.

Call Garrett and make him your air conditioning service/repair man. Don't hesitate. I called him two weeks ago on a Sunday evening at 7:30 p.m. as my daughter had just bought a house - was in the house painting and the air was not cooling the house. Not only did he schedule a visit, he arrived at the house at 9:00 p.m. on a Sunday evening - did not charge extra for it being a late/weekend call. Fixed her problem within an hour. I will not be looking any further for a repairman in the Orange/Volusia area - we've found our guy - Garrett Hoffman! Awesome service - terrific price too. Thanks Garrett for your service.

On Tuesday March 29th I came to check on my gramps who has dementia and the house was so hot. I did everything I could to rectify the situation, to no avail. I called Hoffman AC the next morning from work. He was willing to come to the house at dinner time, that was the only time I could get there. He found the problem in no time and the AC was running within minutes. I was a bit nervous because AC is always expensive. To my surprise, Garrett charged me next to nothing. Garrett Hoffman just left our house on a Sunday AC service call. I can't recommend him enough to anyone! He was absolutely amazing! His pricing was the best around and he went to the outside unit and went right to the problem in a matter of minutes. He is extremely knowledgable......his nickname should be the AC Whisperer!!!! I have found my AC guy from this point forward! He didn't push any extra services on us either. He was friendly and professional the entire time! If you want your AC fixed correctly, economically and quickly then you should call Hoffman Heating and Air, Inc!

The customer service was great and reasonable prices will recommend this company to all my friends, im very happy.

This a honest company. Mr. Hoffman came out the same night that I called and fixed my AC in the rain. The rate was very reasonable, did not charge for after hour rate. I highly recommend calling Hoffman Heating and Air any time you need any service for your heating or AC .

Garrett Hoffman just left my house, and I'm thanking God for people like him! I've been without air since yesterday (6/20) and had another company come out last night. I already knew (from a friend of my roommate who's a licensed A/C guy) that I needed a capacitor replaced. I made it my responsibility to research the cost on the internet while I was waiting for the company's (CCC) tech to come out, so I had a very good idea of the cost range.



When the technician finally got here and checked it out, he said that the cost would be.... wait for it....$285!!!! I knew that was WAY TOO MUCH, so I sent him on his way.



Tonight I called Hoffman Heat & Air, because I was melting! He gave me a quote over the phone and I said "Come on out". The job was done in approx. 20 mins., and he even gave me the old part. Why can't all companies be like this one? He charges a rate that is worth his time and effort, but also is reasonable to the consumer! Hooray for the small business man!!



I will most definitely keep his (and only his) phone number for future HVAC maintenance and repair.



Thank you, Mr. Hoffman, for being an honest man. We need more of them in this world.

This company is my entire families go to for all Heating and A/C needs (and friends if I have any say about it) I had the pleasure to meet Garrett when the BIG name company posted on my ac unit couldn't/ wouldn't get to me until the next day and after being without A/C most of the day already that was not an option for us, so I took to google and found HOFFMAN HEATING and AIR INC. the reviews were great so I called, BTW it was after hours he answered and said he was on a service call and would be here soon, he kept in touch with me the entire time to keep me posted on his time frame. He was professional, knowledgeable, reasonably priced and dedicated to his customers satisfaction! I would highly recommend this company all your heating and air conditioning needs. I am the kind of guy who would not usually take the time to write a review of services rendered. Over the years I have become somewhat of a jack all trades due to the number of rip-offs out there I just learn to do it myself. I do not call for help unless something is just to far over my head to even attempt.

I read Mr. Hoffman's review, all of them and I got a really good feeling about him. I called him up and explained I had taken things as far as I could go with them and needed a professional look at the issue.

And professional is what I got!!! Mr. Hoffman made the time that day to come out and diagnose the issue. Nothing could be done due to the antiquated system but he gave me some good advice to be able to limp the system along a little longer until I could replace it. I don't know how many of those of you who read this happened to have been in the Orange City, Fl area Monday 6/1/2015 but it almost seemed as if hurricane season started a little early. trees down, pouring rain, hail even and Mr. Hoffman made the trip anyway. Great guy, honest and I would recommend him over any of the HVAC guys I have used.

If you need AC repair, call Garret first. You will be glad you did. I have lived in the area for over 30 years, and Garret is the most knowledgeable, professional, and reasonable. He has serviced both homes I have in the area. If you need three quotes go ahead, and you will see why there are 5 stars on his reviews. Just call Garret first and you will see why.

I had 3 A/C companies work on my A/C in the last year. None of them actually repaired the A/C even though they said they repaired the problem I had. In desperation I called Garrett Hoffman to tell us what was wrong with it. He not only fixed my A/C, explaining everything he was doing as he did it and did it in a reasonable time. I will definitely call him again as needed. I will also refer him to anyone who needs their A/C repaired.

Garrett Hoffman fixed our air conditioning today. He was fast, knowledgeable, courteous and it was done right the first time. He also fixed my mom's air conditioning last week, she is very happy with his work and how fast he was there and had it fixed. Our family won't be calling anyone else. Garrett has now repaired three ACs that I know of personally. He is always friendly and knowledgeable. He gets the job done right and at a fair price.

I had an issue with my upright freezer that caused it to lose all it freon. I called Hoffman Heating & air & Mr Hoffman came out & diagnosed the problem & got it back up & running in a very timely manner. It is a pleasure doing business with someone who is very knowledgable in his field!

Mr Hoffman came. out to work on my a/c all I needed was a run capacitor replaced after other companies were trying to sell me a new unit... Mr Hoffman's honesty was very impressive and honorable.. not only did he do a great job his price was very reasonable saved me at least $150.00 ... I know who to call from no on

Spent 20,000.00 with them 2 years ago on mini splits. Now that I have issues my calls are rejected and i'm now told that I am blocked as a caller. Very disappointed since they seemed to do such a great job in the beginning.
