In 2013 I had to hold mail. I was required to fill out a card for every member of household, including 12 year old. Now, 2016, I held mail for myself, not including 2 other adult roommates. EVERYONE'S mail was held. I called to remove hold and they let some other person SIGN FOR MY documents which were the whole purpose for holding; very important and personal paperwork. They frigging let any other Epson take my mail!!!! I'm so friggin pissed. Inconsistent procedures.

The Dayton postal service must be the worst in the country. They are the laziest people you'll ever meet in your life and they look for excuses not to do their jobs. Yet they expect the public to go to bat for them so they can keep their jobs. I don't think so, never again. Let them be privatized, it couldn't be any worse than it is.

Not only does my postman leave me other tenants mail but he hasn't delivered my mail going on four weeks now. I called the post office and all they did was take my # to call me when they found anythinng out. Nothing! I have been to the post office on numerous occasions and have gotten the run around about my box was too full so they stopped my mail! Really!?? So could you leave me a notice and let me know that the day you found that my box was too full!? Of course not. Why would you want to inconvenience yourself!! When I called for the third time the lady I spoke to was rude and short with me. She also made it sound like it was my fault that I haven't gotten my mail in a month's time!! I am infuriated and demand justice in this situation! They are keeping my mail from me and I have no way of getting it! This is against the law and I want the of this offices name!

I rate nothing. Washington township is ridiculous and especially how they treat the employees and new ones. I think the head Boss should be fired.

Dear USPS,

Thank you for being completely unwilling to facilitate recovery of a package. I have a package coming from Seattle Washington that has been 'floating' for the last seven days. I waited 30 minutes on hold to speak to someone who promised to "launch an investigation." The next morning I received a phone call from Terry at my local branch who told me there was nothing they could do. I called back and asked why no one could call the sort facility the tracking number indicated the package was at. She told me that was not the obligation of the USPS. I would have to wait for the package to arrive before she would tell me what was wrong with the mailing label. I asked if I was hearing correctly that the USPS has no mechanism in place to locate a package that has been lost. She said nope, it's not their obligation, she was very sure the fault was on the side of the merchant and she could tell me what went wrong after it arrived. In the mean time I would have to figure out a solution with them. I did. They had the package at my doorstep the following morning. Via UPS. Thanks a lot, you just lost another small business owner that previously advocated that the USPS could do everything UPS and FedEx could do but better. Guess it's not actually Congress's fault that you guys are going bankrupt.

I give one star only because my mail carrier is awesome. The postal service on the other hand is nearly useless.. It amazes me that the USPS has maintained this long... My mail sits at my post office for four days now and the answer I receive is "sir, it can take 2-8 days for mail to be delivered upon receipt of said mail to its destination postal department." Wow.... No wonder they are drowning with no life jacket...

While the union attitude is bad enough, the supervisor I talked with was even worse.

Do not go to this post office even if you have to go out of your way to visit a different one. I have been going there for years and can count on 2 fingers the number of good experiences I've had. The customer service is the worst I've ever seen. Today the older black lady that is always working yelled at me in front of a full lobby that they were closed and I would have known that had I read the door. No one should ever be spoken to that way. It saddens me that Centerville chose to close the one post office that was always pleasant to keep this rude one open.
