I’ve never had any problems with the company. They are Johnny on the spot to grab my propane tank as I pull into the refill station and and then put it back in the the bed of my truck after it’s filled up, and they have always answered any questions I have related to their industry.

I have been using their gas for my grill for over 30 years, and hadn't had a complaint. Nice and friendly employees who are well informed about their products.

I have relied on McMahan's for heating my home since I moved to Ohio one year ago. I have had several negative experiences during this short period. They have filled my tank and charged me even though I never requested a refill (and specifically indicated not to do so automatically). Sometimes I would see their "driver" sneak into my back yard and I had to tell him that I did not request any propane. He would say that he was "just doing check ups". But on other days I would find a bill because they decided to deliver gas without me requesting it and no one was home to tell them to go away. Additionally, when I did need propane to heat my house during the coldest part of the winter, McMahan's refused to deliver propane unless I purchased a minimum of hundreds of dollars. I had to agree to purchase what they requested as their minimum (I have a 1-year old and did not want her to get sick) and they still failed to deliver within the promised deadline. If you are moving to Ohio, I would highly recommend considering other heating options. I relied on McMahan's for propane and experienced terrible costumer service. Their high prices (~$800/month during the winter of 2013) are expected due to high demand and low supply, but that is no excuse for them to abuse their position to deliver propane as they will and get away with it.

Let our children go cold in a terrible snowstorm

They filled us up March 1, said we are on auto fill, we weren't. Ran out on March 24 they didn't get back to me. Called in March 25, they said they would just wait till they had a route this way, then they said it would be another $500. We already gave them $300 on March 1 and that we wanted to be on auto fill. We just moved here from Ak and we didn't spend $800 in one month all winter. They should at least fill one tank or charge a few more cents a gallon to fill us up if we can't afford $800 in the same month.
