I'm a traveling 7th day Adventis that through mishap ran out of fuel near them. I called for help and they passed me off to another church farther away. When I called back with that information, I was asked blame setting questions. The secretary than put me on hold, had a brief conversation with the pastor, and came back on the line telling me they would be unable to help. The end. No suggestions. No well wishes. No offer of PRAYER! My advice is to attend and give to a church that looks out for its flock RATHER then fleece them.
