This was not a partnership, were we both accommodate to meet a unified specific goal. This was contracted work, for you the company to execute. Again I am not saying control all problems that arise on the fly. I am saying, as leaders you should plan for the problems and at minimum have a rough viewpoint on how to handle them in a way that doesn’t put the customer out. And after the problem is resolved, follow-up, ensure it is done. I felt forgotten and dismissed by the manager (who never call back and I never spoke to) and the owner (who never called back). I was left out to dry by Amy after she promised that the crew would be there at 3 pm. Even if they were late, if they had come; I would not be as upset about the whole situation. This was a horrible experience and I will make sure it is shared on the appropriate channels. I will share with my family, who until today thought they were a decent company, that we should not use them. In my opinion, Greater Dayton Moving and Storage failed on the business front, big time.

I had their service in Apr. 2013. I was moving from a two bed rooms apt to a town house.

Many of my furniture were damaged and scratched but I did not complain (because things could happen when you are moving…)

When they broke a large furnished mirror, they told me that they will replace it. I had to call their office the next week and someone actually came and picked it up. (That was a first day of May)

When I called back two weeks later (after leaving my name and phone # multiple times) and called them again, they finally told me that, they will drop it off by end of that week. BUT NO MIRROR or a PHONE CALL from them!!!

After realizing that it doesn’t take that long to replace a mirror, I knew that they were simply being shady…

I called again and again leaving my number and name…and this time, they were simply acting dumb. Saying nobody knows what is going on and they need to look into my account…blah blah. (That was beginning of this week.)

I had it! I made a final call and told them that I will file a police report for damaging and stealing one of my furniture (since I never got it back).

A guy finally CALLED BACK for the FIRST time and said it will be ready by next Tuesday. Just to be sure that he’s not lying this time, I asked for glass repair shop phone number and he refused.

When I told him (in very nice manner) that he needs to train his workers better so that a situation like this will not happen again, he started yelling on the phone and blaming others.

Poor management, poor service, and poor customer service!

I will not recommend this business.

Don’t waste your money, time, and energy dealing with Greater Dayton moving & storage!!!
