Founded in 1955, Church of the Ascension School is a Catholic school that serves more than 400 students in kindergarten through grade eight. It operates art, creative dramatics, music, and health and physical education departments. The school s academic curriculum includes religion, English, math, science, social studies and language arts. Church of the Ascension School operates a library and media center that offers various resources, such as books, encyclopedias, newspapers and dictionaries. It offers a federal lunch program and has a cafeteria that serves lunch and breakfast to students. The school also operates a parent-teacher association that sponsors various fundraising activities to fund programs and events to benefit the school and its students of the school. Church of the Ascension School offers an extended-day care program for elementary-grade students. It also provides a range of summer activities, such as arts and crafts, drama, computer applications and a variety of summer camp activities.
