I have no idea if the author of this negative review is, a seller of one of the homes we inspected or possibly one of my competitors trying to give our firm a black eye online. No one has ever contacted us about this issue so maybe it is one of our competitors. However, this still needs to be addressed regardless of the author. We never speak to the home seller in advance of the inspection so the home seller would have no way to know how many inspectors would be showing up for the inspection. Also, it's our company's practice only to show up early if the house is not occupied. If the house is occupied, we contact the real estate agent and ask for permission to begin the inspection early. Finally, based on our company procedures, we only turn on what lights are necessary for testing and we always shut them off before we leave. If lights were on at the time of the inspection, we leave them on. Also, we do not move anything during the course of the inspection therefore we would not have to put something back. We request that the home seller have the home ready for inspection by having personal items cleared out so that we can inspect all of the systems and components of the home.
