Great Job by Hometown Staff

My son had high fever and I went to Hometown at Dayton Mall at 9pm. The clinical staff was very friendly and helpful. They got us in and out in 35 minutes. They even had the medications on site and I did not have to find a pharmacy at 9.40pm in the night. I would highly recommend Hometown. Thanks

Horrible Patient Care

My son was taken in while visiting his grandmother. Turns out he had strep throat (my grandmother, a nurse, had already diagnosed him). His grandmother told the nurse what she suspected was wrong with him. The doctor came in: never introduced himself, had a gruff, too-busy demeanor when dealing with my son, and said, "So you think he has strep? Ok, we'll do a swab and find out." - and then left. He was in the room less than 1 minute. The bill for that incredible visit, was $400!! Breakdown: $220 for the office visit, $40 for a rapid strep test, $140 for serviced provided in an urgent care.

To top it all off, after I faxed them our insurance information and billing address, they sent the bill to my mother (the grandmother). When I called them to straighten the bill out, they were rude, belligerent, and defended their billing mistake.

It is companies such as Hometown Urgent Care that make us shake our head and wonder what is wrong with health care in America.

Fast and good care!

I went here because I needed someplace to go when my doctor's office had no available appointments. I was in and out in less than half an hour, got the prescriptions I needed, and additional recommendations on how to start feeling better. With Hometown being actually closer to my house than my regular doctor, I'll probably start going here most any time that I'm sick.
