I should have looked up Tim Coker before having him work on my house. He has a long police record, no insurance, no license, no bond, not even a license plate on his big green van. It's been a while, but I'm still mad.

They did alright work. Owner promised well uniformed crew and that he ran them with the same discipline as he learned as a former Marine. The crew was sloppy, pants falling down, wearing green tshirts as uniforms. The owner was hardly at job site, so the employees just sat around. We paid him half up front, and half at end of job.



BUT HE DID NOT PAY FOR THE DUMPSTER OR MATERIALS, SO NOW WE, AND OTHERS, HAVE MECHANIC'S LIENS ON OUR PROPERTIES. Owner refuses to return phone calls to those he committed fraud against, and will probably post positive reviews to equal out for these negative ones. He committed fraud against 3 people in small towns that I know of, and has not returned to finish work of an elderly person in Davenport, even though he collected all of the money up front.



Make sure if Mr. Coker or United Home Renovators-who does not have a business license in IA or IL, nor does the state of Illinois show he has a professional license as required for roofing-does any work you sign a lien agreement so this can't happen to you.

They were originally hired to replace/repair a flat roof on my house as well as to replace and wrap the fascia, soffit and hang a gutter. Based on the recommendation of the owner, I hired them to replace the shingled part of the house as well. With the exception of the fascia, soffit, gutter, the work was done promptly.



I made numerous calls to the owner about the unfinished work and was given various stories as to why they hadn't completed the job. With each call I was given a time/date they would be out to finish up, however nobody ever showed up and the work was never finished.



Six months after the roof had been replaced I came home from work to find the roofing material from the flat roof had completely peeled off the back part of the house during a windstorm and was draped over the bushes at the front of the house. I immediately called the owner and was told he would send somebody over that afternoon.



That was a Tuesday, nobody every showed up or called. I called several times on Wednesday and somebody from the company did come and remove the material from the bush, but no repairs were ever made and nobody ever contacted me to discuss the problem. I made several calls on Thursday and Friday and was assured each time that somebody would be there to take care of the situation.



I called the owner several times a day trying to get the situation resolved and after the 3rd or 4th day of my calling, he stopped answering my calls and I've not heard from him or anybody from his company since.



I'm left scrambling find a reputable company to get the work done before the weather turns nasty and to come up with a way to cover the cost. Nobody can afford to pay for repairs twice.



Now I'm wondering about the workmanship on the rest of the roof.
