The best seafood besides being at the coast and I think it's better than most of those restaurants its definitely alot for the money and very good quality

Beware that there are objects in the food ,I ordered oysters and thought I had broke my tooth , with a black shell cooked in oysters!!!!!! Told them about it and they said , it happened all the time.,and on the the menu at the very bottom, that you never would see it states objects in food. They also said that a lady comes in there every week has made a necklace of objects she has found in the food. Beware !!!!!!!

They're OK, not bad but just ok

Born and raised in this town. Never had a bad experience here. Food is always excellent and totally fried Southern style, and always excellent.

Ate at Mayflower the other night....clam strips-cooked until tough, flounder--fried hard as a brick, shrimp--tiny little tough ones, scallops--tough, fried food, and lastly the coleslaw had NEVER been ground up. It had large tough pieces of cabbage and absolutely no liquid. Only thing nice was waitress and atmosphere.



I will go to north carolina for my seafood...I have eaten at Mayflower on many different occasions--only to be very disappointed. No sense in going back and having to send food back.
