Sean is a true professional. He's worked on multiple handguns & shotguns for me, and I'm always pleased with the outcome. He's even done work on my complex CZ pistol internals, which not every gunsmith can handle.

He's given great advice, asking me smart questions to make sure he understands my intent & makes sure I understand the job as well, even talked me out of makes changes that he realized I didn't fully understand. He won't just take your money to do a job that doesn't make sense, he's in the business delivering quality products & satisfying his customers. Which is clear by the time he takes to talk to you before accepting work & his prices.

Do be warned this is a one person operation. I see negative reviews on here, which all have a common theme of availability/timeliness. Yes, he doesn't always answer the phone. Yes, he doesn't usually return calls or voicemails. Yes, he won't complete a job very quickly. He's busy. Go in and talk to him, he's open late (8pm) all week long. Once he's working on your weapon, have patience. He's taking his time to get your job done right & well.

Highly recommend to mature, smart, safe gun owners.

Basically the same complaint as everyone else, does not answer phone calls or emails, blue jobs leave a lot to be desired, had a shotgun done, barrel came out ok,receiver not so good , rivets came out lighter than the rest of the receiver ,was not cleaned properly, found out later oil sometimes gets trapped under the rivets , supposed to heat the rivets with a torch to get the trapped oil out . Also came back with some scratches. I bought a bluing tank from Brownell, used a propane stove, stripped the receiver, degreased it properly, blued it myself, came out perfect.

I was having an issue with my Beretta shotgun and couldn't find the parts I needed on the internet. Since I've never had it serviced by a professional and Parker Gunsmithing is local to me I thought I'd give them a shot (no pun intended). After a pleasant conversation with Sean I felt comfortable leaving one of my favorite guns in his hands. Sean was able to find the parts needed, give the gun a once over, and I was back shooting clays without an issue. I recommend PG to anyone who asks and will certainly be using them in the future. Thanks, Lonny

I have been a customer of Parker Gunsmithing for the past three years. I have found Sean Eldridge, who is the gunsmith, to be both knowledgeable in his profession and professional in his dealings with me. He has built a 1911 .45 pistol, rechambered a rifle, replaced a pistol barrel among other gunsmithing services for me.. All work has been of the highest caliber. I would without reservation recommend Parker Gunsmithing to anyone who needs high quality work or repairs on a weapon.

I purchased a SW revolver that I wanted re-blued. Parker Gunsmithing is the only CT gunsmith I found that does that, with bluing equipment on site. Wanting to keep my business in CT, I drove out 40 minutes. The owner -- Sean -- could not have been more helpful and knowledgeable. What really impressed me though, is his attention to detail and insistence on perfection. My revolver had one plate with spots that bluing did not seem to cure. Sean wen back again and again to get it right -- did it take a little longer because of that -- yes. But did I get an amazing, original finish -- absolutely. He could have told me anytime that there was nothing more he could do, but instead Sean kept at it. He is a perfectionist -- you decide what is more important to you: quick and dirty or exceptional craftsmanship. Added bonus: his pricing was very, very reasonable (he actually should raise his prices for his high end work).

I'm sure this man is good at what he does, but he is the worst when it comes to being a responsible business owner/FFL dealer. He does not answer his phone calls, he does not return voicemails, he does not return emails. I had a gun sent to his address and without any notice on his website or building or voicemail, he happened to be on vacation. It took UPS three attempts to deliver the item; I waited over three weeks when the item was already shipped out in one week from time of purchase. Second time around ordering a gun and I decided to give the man the benefit of the doubt because he was on vacation and not available; biggest mistake. The item was delivered at 10 am and he did not have the courtesy to call me and let me know it arrived or that he would not be available to set up transfer that same day. Surely enough I waited until EOD, called numerous of times, went to his shop after work well before they closed and there was a sign that says they are closed for the next week. I will no longer do business with this shop anymore and advise anyone who is new to this place to do the same. Go to somebody who actually appreciates your business.

I have been utilizing Parker Gunsmithing exclusively over the past three years. Sean has cleaned and appraised pre 1900 Winchesters, Rechambered a rifle , in addition to in depth weapon maintainance. He is currently building a 1911 Commander for me.

Sean is not only a knowledgeable and extremely competent gunsmith but the type of person who takes the time to know his customers.

I would recommend Parker Gunsmithing without hesitation to anyone needing the services of a highly competent gunsmith.

No where to be found. Drove to his location 4 times over the past month, all during his posted hours, CLOSED. Voice mail is full and he will not respond to email. Nice guy, cleaned one firearm for me, but can not give him any more busiiness.

The owner/gunsmith is very knowledgeable and friendly. He repaired several older firearms for me that required him to locate and fit hard to find original parts. I am very satisfied with the work and he did it at a fair price.
