I had my first service appointment this week at Macs and was very pleased with the thorough care Jim took to diagnose our car's problem. It was a difficult issue that couldn't immediately be resolved but I was comfortable that they weren't going to take unnecessary repairs and costs to guess at a fix. I am very comfortable returning to use them for future work.

We took our care for maintenance at the dealer, and they recommended numerous things for a very expensive price. Mac's got all the work done quickly and much cheaper than the dealership. Try going here first!



I can't add another review but wanted to add an update. After getting a good deal on the bigger project, mentioned above, we now go there for all our routine maintenance. Has been great!

This place has been a life saver! Another place close by (won't name it) gave me an estimated 2000 for my brakes. Mac's - 300 and change. Came back when my power steering went out and was very happy with the result. Jim - the manager is an honest guy and now I know where to go if I need any repairs on my car!

mac's was on point with my cars diagnosis I talked with one mechanic, said my cars issue was a bad throw out bearing not sure went to a jeep dealer ship they said it was a rear bearing in my transmission they then sent me to macs who could perhaps save me some money and he told me it was my differential confused and not sure what to do I told james my story he then brought me into the shop had the car on the lift in gear so I could hear for my self and sure enough that's what it was this was the first time I have done business with macs and would recommend them to all his mechanic was also very professional and a good machanic

Mac's has been a life saver for me and my family. Jim has been reliable, fair and always willing to get me in and out in a reasonable amount of time. He has kept our older Toyota running and in top shape. I highly recommend Mac's!

This guy is a con artist!!! Do not go to him, he charges alot of money and takes advantage of people and changes his prices constantly. His payment system locks people into fraudulent deals and thats why his shop isn't doing well. I'm surprised he's still open and his business is guaranteed to fail. Do not go here!

Jim is awesome and the service is very prompt and on point. Jim is a great guy and is he there if you need him. You should totally check out Macs

This place is the best in the state. Jim is super honest and friendly. They will not rob you and are willing to work with you .I've been a loyal customer for years and will not go anywhere else.

I see there has been some really bad experiences at Mac's with the last review being in 2013 I don't have a horror story for my first experience which was a replaced exhaust seal and an oil change. They're a bit pricey, but the financing and low monthly payments helped a lot. Jim seems to be a good guy, kinda old school and funny. I have a few more things to get done so trust me I'll keep you posted.

Do not use this company. I was a long time customer, using Mac's for two to three years for all my oil changes and minor repairs. Then Dennis replaced the former manager. I was charged $349 for a battery!!! Ouch. I will never set foot in Mac's again. Michael Dutton 203-733-7067

Oxygen sensor repair out of their league. Went with a VW Beetle to get it checked out and they disconnected the positive battery cable only! This is a huge No-No. Would not recommend this shop to anyone.

Went for a routine oil change and the service was outstanding. The employees were extremely friendly and helpful. The manager Marc really went the extra mile.

I got my oil changed at Mac's Quick Lube two weeks ago and my 2007 Mazda (17,000 miles) broke down on me last week on my way to Canada. I had to get it towed to the nearest Mazda dealership in Albany and they had to bring a specialist for the diagnosis. The dealership discovered that the oil drain bolt was missing and that it must have fallen off while driving. Since the drain bolt is only accessible during an oil change they declared the breakdown was due to human error and suggested I contact Mac's Quick Lube and demand their insurance cover the repairs. When I talked to the manager of Mac's, he initially freaked out and after making a couple of phone calls decided he was no longer responsible for the damages and dared me to take him to court. The total cost for the repairs are upwards of $9,000 since the car needs a new motor. I am now carless and suing Mac's Quick Lube for their gross negligence.



If you had an oil change at Mac's Quick Lube in Danbury CT please get your vehicle checked before you end up in a similar situation.



If you have gone through a similar situation I would appreciate any suggestions that may help me in my plight.

these guys can do it all unlike many quick lubes,they have very friendly service,and decent prices. Jon the manager is the best!!!!!
